I’m not sure if what happened to me was abuse…

Many people feel confused around what constitutes abuse.

Neglect           Child_Abuse

Have you suffered as a child because you were deprived of warmth, food hygiene, intellectual stimulation, safety or affection from the adults in yor life ?.

Emotional Abuse

Have you  suffered because your need for approval, consistency, and security were not met.? Were you subject to persistant criticism, being harshly punished and  exposed to physical and verbal violence by peers, teachers, parents or significant adults in your life.

Physical Abuse     

Were you subject to  physical beatings or physically harmed by another.?

Sexual Abuse                  

Were you used  as a child or as a teenager by another person for his or her sexual arousal.

Child sexual abuse occurs when an adult:

    • Forces or persuades a child to take part in a sexual activity
    • Exposes themselves to a child
    • Shows pornographic material to a child
    • Touches a child inappropriately
